Merry Christmas from all at Woodsmoor Station Friends!
The Woodsmoor Station annual Christmas party has now become a firm tradition. In our fifth year, local bakers again prepared festive delicacies to welcome commuters and raise money for Barnabus, the Manchester-based homeless charity.
Starting early on a frosty morn, intrepid Woodsmoor Station Friends invited travellers to enjoy cakes and coffee and make a donation to Barnabus. Those small donations amounted to an impressive £245, all raised to make Christmas just that little bit more tolerable for those who don’t have a home in which to enjoy the festive season.
Thanks to everyone who baked, manned the stall or made a donation. You can be sure your efforts are making a real difference.
